Bridal makeup should reflect your personality rather than following current trends, focusing on what makes you feel comfortable.
Select your makeup artist based on your preferences and the style of your envision for your wedding day. Avoid choosing an artist whose work you only partially like, especially if you're hoping for a completely different style that isn't represented in their portfolio.
When selecting an artist, opt for someone who works with both real brides and models.
The reason is that while beautiful models can simplify the task of enhancing the work, working with real women allows you to truly assess the artist's ability to handle various eye shapes, face shapes, skin textures, skin tones and age we are not all 20s.
Makeup artists need models in their portfolios because it is the only opportunity for them to fully create a look that they like and that represents their work and who their are so this reflects more their style of work but when working with real clients, such as brides, artists often cannot create looks that fully reflect their style, as clients usually prefer to maintain their natural appearance and may not allow changes to the shape of their eyebrows, lips, or eyes.
If you choose solely individuals with conventional women, you won't entirely understand the artist's potential, making it essential to incorporate both. If a portfolio exclusively includes models, it might be difficult because they may likely have less experience working with everyday women.
